Word to PNG

HR coordinators, technical writers, and teachers frequently need to embed excerpts of official policies, syllabi, or procedural forms into online knowledge bases and staff manuals. This utility converts DOCX, DOC, ODT, and RTF documents into crisp PNG page images with sharp typography and clean table lines. The document is converted over HTTPS to our server where LibreOffice produces a PDF, which pdf.js renders losslessly within your browser.

How to convert Word to PNG

  1. Select your Word or OpenDocument file from your workplace computer or shared drive.
  2. Pick your required "Resolution", choosing 150 DPI for screens or 300 DPI for printed manuals.
  3. Type desired pages into "Only these pages" under More settings to extract a portion of the text.
  4. Save individual page PNGs or download the complete set of pages inside a ZIP archive.

Crisp policy pages, employee handbooks, and lossless typography

When embedding forms, contract excerpts, or departmental guidelines into company wikis and digital handbooks, lossy compression often causes text edges to look blurry and unreadable. PNG format uses lossless compression to preserve fine typography, table borders, and signature boxes with clean contrast. Because PNG maintains high clarity without degrading image data, there is no quality slider, ensuring dependable results across all rendered pages.

Personnel files and institutional memos remain private because the conversion machine deletes your submitted document alongside the temporary PDF the moment transmission completes. In your browser tab, pdf.js renders each page into a separate PNG file named sequentially, such as report-page-1.png, ready to download singly or as a ZIP archive.

DPI resolution choices, page dimensions, and formatting details

Pick "150 DPI (sharp on screen)" for intranet reading, "72 DPI (screen preview)" for email previews, or step up to "200 DPI" or "300 DPI (print)" when preparing printable handouts. Rendering an A4 page at 150 DPI creates an image of approximately 1240 × 1754 pixels, compared to 1275 × 1650 pixels for US Letter. Queued documents are converted in sequential order, generating separate image files for each submitted item.

Document layouts adhere to LibreOffice page mechanics, which may result in minor adjustments to line breaks or table widths for documents designed in proprietary Word versions. Missing fonts on the conversion server are mapped to similar available fonts. For distributing printable files as a unified document rather than images, consider using Word to PDF.

Questions

Why use PNG rather than JPG when posting forms to an intranet wiki?

PNG avoids compression smudges around fine text, form boxes, and borders, keeping instructional documents easy to read on screen.

Can I extract a single page from an employee handbook?

Yes. Open More settings and type the page number into "Only these pages" to convert and download only that specific sheet.

Is sensitive employee information kept safe during conversion?

Yes. The conversion server deletes both your uploaded file and the temporary PDF immediately after returning the data to your browser.
