Digital noticeboards, chat sharing, and confidential server conversion
Sending a Word document across workplace chat apps or school communication portals often creates friction when recipients lack compatible office software or view files on mobile phones. Converting policy updates, cafeteria menus, or weekly agendas into JPG images allows everyone to view the information immediately in the message feed. Documents up to 95 MB upload securely over HTTPS to our server, where LibreOffice interprets the layout and generates a temporary PDF.
Workplace confidentiality is respected at every step. Server storage is temporary, meaning your source document and the interim PDF are discarded as soon as the transmission finishes, leaving no online copies. Within your browser, pdf.js draws each page into a separate JPEG image named systematically, like report-page-1.jpg, so you can share a single announcement sheet or download the full document as a ZIP file.
Resolution settings, page scaling, and document layout guidance
You can configure output dimensions through the "Resolution" menu, which offers "72 DPI (screen preview)" for mobile previews, "150 DPI (sharp on screen)" as the recommended standard, as well as "200 DPI" and "300 DPI (print)". At 150 DPI, an A4 page produces roughly 1240 × 1754 pixels, while US Letter measures about 1275 × 1650 pixels. Adjusting the "JPG quality" slider between 30 and 100 lets you keep image attachments small for quick email delivery.
Layout rendering adheres to LibreOffice formatting rules, so documents drafted in Microsoft Word might exhibit minor differences in line breaks or table margin widths. If particular typefaces are absent from the remote machine, standard alternative fonts are substituted; margin comments are left off the page images. If you need a single multi-page file for official archiving, choose Word to PDF.
Questions
Can mobile users open these page images without Word installed?
Yes. The generated JPG files open in standard image viewers on smartphones, tablets, and web browsers without requiring office software.
How can I convert just the first page of a newsletter for an email announcement?
Click More settings and enter 1 into "Only these pages" to convert and download only the front cover sheet.
Will editor comments or tracked changes appear on the page images?
Comments do not. Tracked changes that are still pending may be drawn as coloured edits, so accept or reject them in Word first if the images are going to staff or parents.
