Excel to PNG

HR coordinators, administrative managers, and educators frequently need to insert clean data tables, employee rotas, or grade charts into staff wikis, presentations, and handbook pages. This desk tool exports your Excel, OpenDocument, or CSV spreadsheets into crisp PNG graphics that keep typography legible and borders sharp. Files are formatted via LibreOffice Calc on our conversion server to fit each sheet on one page, after which pdf.js renders lossless PNG images inside your browser tab.

How to convert Excel to PNG

  1. Select your XLSX, XLS, ODS, or CSV spreadsheet up to 95 MB from your office computer.
  2. Pick your required "Resolution" setting, selecting 150 DPI for screens or 300 DPI for printed manuals.
  3. Specify sheet numbers in "Only these sheets" under More settings if you only want certain tabs.
  4. Download individual sheet PNG graphics or collect the whole workbook in a unified ZIP archive.

Sharp wiki tables, presentation graphics, and secure server processing

Embedding financial summaries, staff rosters, or policy tables into company documentation, Notion workspaces, or slide decks requires crisp visual fidelity without compression smudges around numbers. Lossless PNG output maintains clean character edges and distinct cell borders, keeping dense figures readable on high-resolution screens and projectors. Because PNG encoding is intrinsically lossless, this tool does not include a compression quality slider, providing dependable clarity across all exported sheets.

Sensitive payroll records and departmental budgets stay protected because our conversion server discards your uploaded workbook and the interim PDF immediately after delivering data to your browser. Your local browser session then utilizes pdf.js to draw each sheet into an individual PNG image with a neat white margin, named in sequential tab order like budget-sheet-1.png. You can download single sheets or bundle every tab into a ZIP file, while multiple workbooks in the queue are converted sequentially.

DPI resolution scale, large sheet scaling, and display formatting

Choose "150 DPI (sharp)" as your standard setting for internal portals, "96 DPI (same as on screen)" for compact previews, or advance to "200 DPI" or "300 DPI (print)" when preparing handout materials. To avoid browser strain when handling massive accounting sheets, the tool automatically scales down tables so that images stay under 16,000 pixels along their long edge and 40 megapixels total. For expansive sheets, defining a print area in Excel or splitting data across tabs before converting helps maintain maximum resolution.

The converted PNG graphics reflect calculated formula values, cell number formats, background fills, drawn borders, and embedded charts or images. Only manually created cell borders are shown, never the editing grid. Hidden rows and columns are omitted, hidden sheets are exported unless excluded with "Only these sheets", and uninstalled server fonts are replaced with similar alternatives. To produce a multi-page printable document instead of separate graphics, use Excel to PDF, or try PowerPoint to PNG and PDF to PNG.

Questions

Why should I pick PNG over JPG when inserting a table into a slide deck?

PNG avoids compression smudges around numeric text and fine grid lines, ensuring that data tables remain crisp on presentation slides and digital displays.

Are confidential payroll sheets retained on the conversion server?

No. The conversion machine destroys your uploaded spreadsheet and the temporary PDF stream immediately after delivering the converted data to your browser.

How does the tool format wide spreadsheets with many columns?

LibreOffice Calc arranges every sheet onto a solitary PDF page containing the whole used area, which ensures that wide spreadsheets never break across multiple slices.
