How to use the Reorder PDF Pages
- Add the PDF to rearrange.
- Choose “The order I type” and enter a sequence such as 2, 1, 5-end, or choose Reverse.
- Press Reorder and download the rearranged copy.
Shorthand that saves typing
Ranges move whole blocks at once, and a range written high to low, like 12-1, runs backwards. A page may appear several times, which is useful when a cover sheet or instructions page should open and close the document.
With the append option ticked, which is the default, it is enough to mention the pages you are moving: on an eight-page file, typing “7, 8” gives 7, 8, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Untick it and any page missing from your list is left out.
Fixing scanner output
A feeder that takes the top sheet first, or a printer stacking face up, gives a document whose last page comes first. Reverse puts it right without a single number typed.
When fronts and backs were scanned in two passes, merge both passes into one file first, then type an interleaved order such as 1, 12, 2, 11, 3, 10 so each back side follows its front.
After the reshuffle
Numbers printed inside the pages do not change, so a footer that said page 3 still says page 3. Stamp new ones with Add page numbers if they must match the new sequence.
Web links keep working. Links that jump to another page within the same document may point somewhere unexpected after large moves, so test them if the file relies on them.
Questions
Can I drag pages around with the mouse?
No. The order is typed as numbers and ranges, which stays quick even for long documents.
Are my pages uploaded?
No. Reordering happens with pdf-lib inside the browser tab.
Does the quality of the pages change?
No. Pages are copied as they are, in the new sequence, so scans and text look exactly as before.
